J'adore: Artist Series

Mercedes is a European artist living in Madrid. From an early age her greatest love was painting. She is passionate about light, colour and the joy of life. She loves to paint in a bold style that reflects her spirit and the Mediterranean culture. She studied Art History in college and travelled around the world while she was working as a stewardess. But after a while, she decided to follow her true passion and start painting again. She has worked as an illustrator for various magazines, including The New Yorker. She has sold her paintings all over the world.

American artist Perry Milou is arguably one of the nation’s foremost recognized Pop artists. Critics and collectors have hailed his bold, vibrant palette over the past 20 years. Considered a talented forward-thinker with classic, iconic inspirations, Milou’s work has often been described as alluring, brilliant, fresh, and glamorous. Perry creates a blend of pop culture contemporary art that is frequently a tribute to global icons, Americana, and celebrities. Bold colours are the forefront of his work. His fine-pop painting is highly stylized, exciting and graphic; the in-your-face imagery clearly defines the Milou brand.

Heather grew up in Iowa, USA, on a farm, riding horses and squeezing in some time for portrait drawing when she could. After graduating high school, she was unsure of how to proceed with a creative career, so she attended Des Moines Area Community College and received her associate’s degree in Commercial Art. After doing some photography and photo editing for The Des Moines Register, she moved to Las Vegas and spent several years as a graphic designer and a Fabulous Sin City Rollergirl. Hungry for new challenges, Heather bought a set of watercolors in 2015 and quickly grew obsessed with painting. This led to her exploring other mediums, and she eventually found herself working mostly in oils. She loves the juxtaposition of silly or modern subjects paired with a more serious historical medium.

Solveiga was born in Latvia. After spending a fabulous childhood in Riga within an artistic and creative environment of post-Soviet decadence, she studied at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. She then did a masters in fashion design at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris. Solveiga fell in love with this fabulous country and still lives in France. Painting for her is the way to tell her story; how she sees the world and sharing her love of colour, light and everyday beauty. She paints her emotions in colour with unlimited richness of imagination. The pleasure and the joy that Solveiga’s work brings to people is for her the most important guiding principle and genuine source of her inspiration.
