Not enough clearance off island.
At it's shortest length Menlo is too close to my island top. It should be at least 30” above the island but it is only 20”. It seems strange that it's shortest setting is appropriate for a 9 foot ceiling. I have 8 foot ceilings as do many people so it cannot be adjusted to work for me. It's a beautiful light but has limited application.
